The modern day pharmacy
In my late teens I was a ghetto pharmacist aka a drug dealer. If you needed it I could get it for you. I was the guy with the connections that can get you what you desired to help with that craving you had. As I saw my friends get arrested I quickly realized that this wasn’t the career field for me and I ran into the military.
Today we have millions of digital ghetto pharmacist selling prescriptions to problems people are dealing with, without no understanding of the problem to begin with. Some get things half right and many get things completely wrong. There are some that can explain the physical manifestations of the problem and from there give a logical and deductive explanation to why that problem exist. For many, that explanation would be enough and people would apply that information accordingly to their life to avoid future troubles.
The Red Pill is not a prescription, its a description. But as Rollo Tomassi once told me “ you can’t give people information without them wanting you to tell them how they should feel about the information that was just provided”. With the need of knowing how one should feel about the information from authors like Rollo Tomassi, Rian Stone, and Arron Clarey, there are hundreds of ghetto pharmacist out there that want to sell you their brand of prescription to tell you how you should feel and what you should do with the information these authors provide.
Pastor Michael Foster once told me in a conversation “ The Red Pill tells us what is, and the Bible tells us what to do about what is”. So that makes the bible just another prescription that people could take to address their problems. Now full disclosure, I personally believe that for the Christians, the bible is the best prescription to follow. I would even say its the best prescription for the non-Christian as well, but I do see them struggling with what the bible says more than the Christian.
The problem with prescriptions is that people tend to want to apply them their own way rather then the way prescribed. People who are diagnosed with ADHD are often prescribed Adderall or Adderall RX. At a low dose once or twice a day orally , it will help an individual with ADHD by improving their focus and concentration since it is a direct stimulant on the central nervous system. Now if Adderall tablets or capsules are crushed and then snorted for a more rapid “high.” Crushing and then snorting Adderall medication that has an extended-release format, like Adderall XR, bypasses the way the drug is supposed to be slowly released in set doses over a set period of time. Instead, it sends the entire amount of the drug into the bloodstream at once. The brain may be overwhelmed by the amount of Adderall suddenly in its system and may not be able to safely break down the drug. Seizures, racing heart rate, hypertension, fever, severe confusion, and psychosis may be side effects of Adderall overdose, and these can result in stroke, heart attack, or death without swift medical treatment. So the problem is not Adderall but how people choose to not follow the directions of the medication as prescribed.
The same goes for the bible as well. But what often happens with the bible is people tend to not only fail to follow the prescriptions God gave us in his word, but people have decided to reinterpret what the bible says to fit their desired outcome or to move the goalpost or remove it completely to avoid having to meet the standard that God requires. For example many egalitarians love to use Ephesians 5:21 as an argument for mutual submission between husbands and wives. Ephesians 5:21 in the ESV version states “submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.” Egalitarians will say that this means men and women or husbands and wives must submit to one another out of reverence of Christ making them both equal in authority in a marriage. But what the egalitarians fail to acknowledge is that verse 21 is an end of a paragraph. To better understand what verse 21 means they would have to go back to verse 15. Ephesians 5:22-30 is the prescription the bible gives Christians to have a successful marriage. But too often egalitarian pastors create their own prescription on marriage because they don’t like the prescription the bible gives. Just like how if you choose to not follow the prescribed directions when taking Adderall run the risk of causing their own death, so does the Christian couple run the risk of causing the death of their marriage.
